WESTWIND GUIDES Fishing Report & Blog

May 2014

Westwind Guides has been fishing up on the Missouri River for the past few weeks since our homewaters are blown out in spring runoff. We just finished up with a three day, three boat trip with Dave Schroeder and the gang. Myself, Eric Adams, and Tony V were the guides. We had solid fishing despite a big release from the dam our first day. The flows went from 8650 to 11500. Not the best timing for us but we had a great time and good fishing anyways, as you can tell from the picture of David’s 23″ rainbow. The rumor going around is that the flows will drop to 6000 in June, so that should make for some very good fishing. We will be up there until early July when we return to fish the waters around Livingston. Please check in as I will be doing weekly reports every Saturday. The season is on and we are excited for another great year.
